After Ron won the Battle of Champions Ron taught poker at the WPT Boot Camp. Little did he know that this would lead him into tutoring individuals and speaking at seminars throughout the United States as well as Europe.
the USA as well as on the Mediterranean island of Malta. Ron's first mentoring success was in 2006 where he coached Bob Bright, CEO of Bright Trading in Las Vegas. Bob wanted to have the same success at the poker table that he has in business, but until he met Ron, he had only made one final table and his winnings were not significant. Ron agreed to teach Bob for three months (prior to and during) the 2006 WSOP, May through July 2006. As soon as Ron started coaching him, Bob's poker winnings took a dramatic turn for the better. Bob Bright's lifetime tournament poker winnings now total $719,136. Of that amount, $566,728 was won while Ron was coaching him in 2006. Bob made four final tables and came in first in the Caesars Las Vegas Poker Tournament - WSOP Circuit Event. Bob also came in the money in three events in the 37th Annual World Series of Poker for total winnings of $361,392. Fantastic results for such a short period of coaching! Bob Bright ranks Ron Rose as one of the poker players he most admires and is quick to credit Ron with his amazing poker success in 2006. He puts Ron first in his list of poker players that he most respects followed by Chris Ferguson, Andy Bloch, Barry Greenstein, Erick Lindgren, Phil Ivey, Phil Gordon and Howard Lederer. "My poker career took a sudden and dramatic twist when Ron Rose agreed to be my mentor after I met him at the Malta Poker Seminar in April 2009. I had only been playing poker for about 4 months and, needless to say, my results at the time were dismal to say the least. Stressing PATIENCE, DISCIPLINE and ATTITUDE, Ron changed my style of play into a winning game in just over a few weeks. In the local scene, I soon became a force to be reckoned with as Ron’s style of play proved itself on the felt through me; and from a faint and inexperienced poker admirer, I soon became a steady and consistent winner, both in live and online play, in tournaments and cash games alike. Ron has not only proven to be highly capable in teaching and following up results, but has also turned out to be a trustworthy friend full of integrity and great charisma. My journey with Ron is not over yet but has actually just started, as I foresee numerous other accomplishments in my poker career. All the knowledge and foresight I have acquired about poker, my triumphs, my image, my healthy bankroll … I owe it all to Ron Rose."
